Hike Events Coordinator
The Iroquoia Bruce Trail Club has a number of hike events during the year that need to be organized.
- New Years Day Hike (January)
- Bruce Trail Day (September)
- Steeltown Stomp (shared with Niagara BTC in September)
- Annual General Meeting hikes (June) and possibly more at the community’s request.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for the Bruce Trail and organizational skills to coordinate the activities, such as securing park/land permits for the day, arranging other volunteers for checkpoints, coordinating hike leaders to lead multiple hikes, coordinating a raffle and prizes, arranging buses or facilities depending on the event, setup and take down of tables and tents, and other duties characterized by the event.
As well, there are ongoing needs in the areas of special events (such as our yearly end-to-end hike), our Annual General Meeting, publicity and fundraising. Please submit an online application to get involved!
