New Year’s Day Hikes & Volunteer Appreciation event

Start the new year off on the right foot and join us for your first hike of 2023!

Come join us at the Dundas Valley Trail Centre and choose from a number of hikes of various distances + paces. Hikes will vary from 1 to 2 hours in duration and range from a leisurely to brisk pace. There will even be a special children’s hike and a chance for those 13 and under to earn their Winter Junior Hiker Badge free of charge. So, get those toques and mittens on and come on out!

All hikes will depart from the Dundas Valley Trail Centre. Please click on the links below for additional details and to register for your hike.

Please be at the Trail Centre 15 minutes prior to the start of your hike.

The activities for the day will conclude with the Iroquoia Bruce Trail Club Volunteer Appreciation Event starting at the Trail Centre at 1 p.m. Without the countless hours our volunteers dedicate, we would not be able to offer the various events throughout the year. There will be refreshments, and everyone is welcome to join! Remember to get your ticket at the door for a chance to win a door prize and stick around for a very special announcement.

Pay parking is in effect – $11 per vehicle for non Hamilton Conservation Area Members.

In the event of dangerous road or trail conditions, we have scheduled a “(freezing) rain date” for January 8. Please register for one of the listed hikes so that we can easily communicate any changes with you!
